A cnidaria is a soft bodied animal with tentacles and stinging nematocysts.

Spend the majority of their life cycle in medusa form.
Hermaphroditic, but doesn't self-fertilize.
Habitat: marine.
Has 3 layers; epidermis, endoderm, mesoglea.
Polyp is the main body plan
Soft polyps: Anemones and some corals
Polyps with endoskeletons: Corals

Stunts prey with nematocysts
